Alabama Hills Van Life Campgrounds
Alabama Hills is one of my favorite camping spots in California. Located between the high Mojave Desert and at the foothills of the Sierras and mount Whitney (The Highest Mountain Peak in the contiguous United States). The stunning beauty of this area has to be experienced.
Tuttle Creek Campground
Tuttle Creek Campground is a first come first serve campground, located at the foothills of Mount Whitney. Managed by BLM, the spaces are spacious and water faucets and pit toilets are available along with a dump station (Water and dump station available only in Spring and Summer)

Alabama Hills Dispersed Camping
There are a multitude of free, dispersed camping spots along Mount Whitney Portal/Movie Road. Alabama Hills dispersed camping offers touring film sites, photography, rock climbing, exploring natural arches, and viewing the swaths of wildflowers that bloom every spring. Horseback riding and mountain biking are popular activities.
